Glastonbury 2009

After the success of the recycled orchestra last year, Mi7 have collaborated with Brighton art collective, Circus Kinetica, to reinvent another all time classic song the Mi7 way. Following on from "Message in a Bottle" (The Police) the chosen song this year is "Come Together" (Beatles).

At this year's festival Mi7 Records have also joined forces with Chess Club to present the music stage for Greenpeace in the Green Fields Area. The main theme for Greenpeace this year is "Airplot" which is the campaign against the third runway at Heathrow Airport and we will be presenting a completely new performance space on the field called "The Departure Lounge".

Complete with airplane seating, the indoor marquee will have space for around 200 people and the emphasis will be on a focussed and relaxed ambience in which to enjoy acoustic performances from a line-up that will be packed full of surprises.

Last year saw great sets from Mumford and Sons, Golden Silvers and even an acapella from Florence and the Machine. This year promises to provide many more "Glastonbury Moments" so you can say "I was there".

Check this space for day-to-day updates live from the field.
