King Charles - LoveBlood

King Charles Announses UK LoveBlood Tour

King Charles' second single ‘LoveBlood’ is available from the 20th January 2012!

King Charles is an extraordinary man. He doesn’t look like anyone you know, he doesn’t think like anyone you know and he doesn’t make music like anyone you know. How often, in these days of near fatal over saturation, days where you feel that, perhaps, there’s just nothing new out there to spark your imagination, can you say that?

In 2009 King Charles released his debut EP to critical acclaim. As he was writing the album he had an almost fatal accident that dramatically halted the process. A few months later, and whilst he was still in recovery, he was invited to support Mumford & Sons in America, an offer he couldn't refuse. King Charles then became the first and only British artist to win the International Songwriting Contest in Nashville and was signed on the spot by Universal Republic in America. He then returned home to continue what was in total an 18-month recovery and he finished writing and recording his debut album in his bedroom. He then put the final touches to it in Los Angeles. The album draws down influences from Afro-beat, rock and roll, glam, folk, hip-hop and country; they are songs with spirit in their belly.

He is rather good at opening lines and first single ‘Bam Bam’ explodes into life with the observation, “That girl who is (is) but your beautiful daughter, she may be the cure, but for now she’s the torture…”, it is a musical introduction fit for a King, a glam folk extravaganza, an attention grabbing pop chant, which reveals his Vampire Weekend and Bob Dylan influences. The heart of this song is lit up by joyous pop and the edges are coloured in by wild and wonderful ideas.

There is a magic in King Charles that is infectious and unique, and has already captured the imagination of fans across the UK and America. He packs out venues wherever he goes, performing to within an inch of his life, master of the moment with a natural majesty of musical talent that makes him a British artist that is one to watch.
